SAN DIEGO YOUTH INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN FIRST ANNUAL
TU VOZ CALL FOR MOBILE STORIES
MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego, in partnership with Cox Communications, is proud to announce its’ 1st Annual TU VOZ CALL FOR MOBILE STORIES! Youth participants (ages 9-18) will be encouraged to submit short (.30 sec. – 4 min) videos spotlighting arts & culture in their lives and neighborhoods. Do you participate in a music group? Know an artist in your community? See murals in your neighborhood? All story ideas and any genre will be welcomed (PSAs, mini documentary, news piece, digital story, etc.).
Winning videos will screen at the annual San Diego Latino Film Festival in March 2015, get spotlighted on tv, and have a chance to win prizes, including a $500 cash prize and a free IPAD! Winners will be announced in January 2015.
Executive Director of MEDIA ARTS Center San Diego, Ethan van Thillo, states “We’re excited to partner with Cox Communications on this fun initiative. It’s a great way to teach youth how to use new technologies, engage in a positive way with their mobile devices, and tell their own stories.”
